 Basmati Rice With Chicken Curry

Basmati Rice with chicken curry:

Ingredient for the rice:


  • 2 cups of your favorite basmati Rice 

  • 4 cups of water 

  • Salt as preferred. 

  • 5 tablespoon olive oil 

  • ½ teaspoon saffron 

  • 3 pieces cardamom open



In a large pot add olive oil, water, salt, saffron, cardamom and bring to boil, then add your rice.


After the water evaporates lower the heat and covers the pot tightly. Leave it for about 20 minutes, do not remove the cover of your pot until that time, do not use a spoon to flip or turn your rice it will crush the grain, Use a spatula or something flat.

Chicken curry:


  • 1 chicken breast cut into cubes

  • 1 large white onion chopped

  • 1 large red onion chopped

  • 5 garlic cloves crushed

  • 2 tablespoon ginger crushed

  • 1 jalapeno crushed

  • 5 olive oil

  • ¼ cup flour

  • 1 cup yogurt

  • Salt

  • 1 tablespoon Cumin 

  • 1 Tablespoon black pepper 

  • 2 tablespoon curry powder 

  • 1 tablespoon coriander

  • 2 tablespoon turmeric



Fill the pot with water and add your chicken, cook for about 15 to 20 minutes until the chicken is done.

In another pot add the olive oil, garlic, ginger, and jalapeno, cook for about 3 minutes.

Add the onion and cook for about 5 to 10 minutes on medium heat or until the onion is lightly brown.

Add the flour mix well.

Add yogurt and water.

Add the cooked chicken.

Add the Cumin, black pepper, curry powder, coriander, salt, and turmeric.

Let it boil for 3 to 5 minutes,  lower the heat cover the pot and let it cook for 15 minutes.
